Hobby Cards is operated by AI BOSS PTY LTD (we, us, our). These terms apply to purchases from our website and its use, including our online card valuation tools. Our Returns and Refunds Policy and Shipping and Delivery Policy form part of the purchase terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Please read the terms shown before placing your order or using our services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian place the order and accept responsibility for it. Give accurate contact, billing and delivery details, use an authorised payment method and keep account credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may restrict an account for reasonably suspected fraud or misuse, explain the reason where lawful, and provide a way to seek review. Restriction does not remove rights relating to existing purchases.

We sell collectible products as described in each listing. Check the set, year, language, edition, card number, quantity and whether the item is sealed, raw, graded, new or pre-owned. Unless identified as a photograph of the exact item, images may be representative. A listing's specific description takes priority over a generic image. We will not substitute a different product without your agreement.

Raw cards are ungraded. Condition descriptions reflect our assessment and any defects identified in the listing; they do not promise a particular future grading result. Ask for further images or information before buying if a feature is important to you. For graded cards, the listing identifies the grading company, assigned grade and certification number where available. That grade is the grading company's opinion at the time of grading. We do not promise a regrade result or future value. These qualifications do not excuse an inaccurate description, counterfeit product or undisclosed defect that breaches your legal rights.

Sealed packs and boxes contain random cards according to the manufacturer's product format. Unless expressly stated, a particular player, character, rarity, autograph, insert or resale value is not guaranteed. Manufacturer odds are not a promise about an individual pack or box. Factory variations in centring, printing, finish and packaging may occur; whether an issue is a defect depends on the circumstances and applicable law. Opening a product does not remove rights for faults or misdescription. Random contents alone, where accurately described, are not a fault.

Products must match our description, including any statement about authenticity. Contact us if you reasonably suspect a product is counterfeit or materially different from its description. NBA, Pokémon and other brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. References identify products; they do not imply that we are sponsored, endorsed or an authorised dealer unless expressly stated.

Prices are in Australian dollars. Displayed prices include any GST applicable to the sale. Shipping and any other unavoidable charges are disclosed before payment. We do not charge GST where it does not apply. When online payment is available, we use Stripe to process payments. Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may vary. You authorise collection of the amount clearly displayed when you confirm payment. Additional payment authentication may be required. A failed or declined payment does not confirm an order. Contact us if you are unsure whether payment succeeded before trying again. We may reasonably verify a payment to prevent fraud, asking only for information necessary for that purpose. We will explain any resulting delay and offer a refund if we cannot fulfil the order. Do not send full card details by email. We remain the seller and your contact for product, delivery and refund matters.

Where available, Book Now starts the purchase or reservation process for the product identified in the listing. Before you confirm, we will state whether it is an in-stock purchase, a pre-order or a reservation; whether the amount is a full payment, deposit or temporary payment authorisation; when stock is reserved and the order is accepted; and any balance amount, due date and cancellation conditions. Clicking Book Now alone does not reserve stock or confirm acceptance. Unless the listing expressly identifies a deposit or authorisation-only arrangement, checkout is for full payment. A payment receipt is not an order acceptance unless it expressly says so. If we cannot accept the order, we will promptly refund any payment collected or arrange release of an authorisation, as appropriate. Bank processing times may apply. Any later balance charge requires the authorisation disclosed and agreed at checkout. Our pre-order, cancellation and consumer rights provisions also apply.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. An automated receipt acknowledges the order; we accept it when we send a dispatch confirmation or another message expressly accepting it. If we take payment but cannot accept an order, we will notify you and promptly refund the amount collected. If we identify a material listing or price error before acceptance, we will explain the error and ask whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price, or cancel and receive a refund. We will not charge more without your consent. These terms do not give us a general right to cancel an accepted order because the market price has increased.

A product marked as a pre-order is not ready for immediate dispatch. The listing will state the expected release or dispatch timing and when payment is taken. Estimates may change because of supplier or manufacturer delays. We will notify you of material changes and offer cancellation and a full refund for affected goods if we cannot supply them or cannot meet a revised timeframe you reasonably accept. If allocations are reduced, we will explain the position and refund any unfulfilled quantity; store credit is optional. Mixed-order shipping arrangements are explained in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. Before dispatch, we will try to accommodate a request, but a change-of-mind cancellation is not guaranteed once the order is accepted. We do not impose a cancellation fee under this policy. Once dispatched, our Returns and Refunds Policy applies. Statutory cancellation and refund rights remain available. If we agree to cancel, we refund the amount paid for the cancelled goods and any delivery charge no longer payable.

Promotion conditions, dates, limits and exclusions will be disclosed with the offer. Discounts cannot be combined unless stated. Collectibles may rise or fall in value. We do not promise investment returns, liquidity or future resale prices. A later market-price change does not alter the agreed price of an accepted order or, by itself, create a refund right.

13.1 Purpose of the Valuation Tool

Hobby Cards provides an online card valuation tool (Valuation Tool) to help users estimate the potential market value of collectible trading cards, including NBA, Pokémon and other supported cards.

The Valuation Tool is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. It may use artificial intelligence, card identification technology, historical sales information, market comparisons or other available data to generate estimated values.

13.2 Estimated values only

All valuations provided by the Valuation Tool are indicative estimates, not guaranteed market values, confirmed resale prices or binding offers to buy or sell.

Actual card values may differ significantly from the estimates provided. Factors affecting market value include:

• Card authenticity, condition, centring, surface quality and physical defects.
• Professional grading status, grading company and assigned grade.
• Rarity, edition, print run, year, player or character popularity.
• Market demand, supply and price fluctuations.
• Recent completed sales and differences between asking prices and actual transaction prices.
• Availability, accuracy and timeliness of the underlying market information.

A valuation represents an estimate based on the information available at the time it is generated and may change without notice.

13.3 Accuracy and limitations

While we take reasonable steps to provide useful valuation information, we do not guarantee that every estimate will be accurate, complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose.

Automated and AI-assisted tools may produce errors, including incorrect card identification, inaccurate condition assumptions, unsuitable comparisons or outdated price estimates.

The Valuation Tool may not detect counterfeit cards, alterations, hidden damage or other characteristics that affect a card's authenticity or value.

Users should independently verify important information, especially before making significant financial decisions.

13.4 No professional appraisal or financial advice

Valuation estimates are not professional card appraisals, authentication certificates, grading assessments, investment advice or financial advice.

A valuation does not constitute a recommendation to purchase, sell, trade, hold or invest in a particular collectible.

Users requiring a formal appraisal, authentication or grading assessment should consult an appropriately qualified independent professional.

13.5 User-provided information

Users are responsible for providing accurate card information and, where applicable, clear photographs when using the Valuation Tool.

Incorrect, incomplete or poor-quality information may affect the accuracy of valuation results.

By submitting photographs or other content, you confirm that you have the right to provide that content for processing.

You grant Hobby Cards a non-exclusive licence to use and process submitted content to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the requested valuation and associated website functionality.

Personal information collected or processed through the Valuation Tool is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13.6 User decisions and responsibility

Users acknowledge that card values can fluctuate and that a valuation estimate does not guarantee a successful sale or a particular selling price.

Users should exercise their own judgment and conduct independent research before buying, selling, trading, insuring or otherwise making decisions involving collectible cards.

Hobby Cards does not undertake to purchase a card at its estimated value.

13.7 Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Hobby Cards is not responsible for losses arising solely from changes in collectible market prices, speculative trading decisions or differences between an indicative estimate and an actual transaction price.

Nothing in this section excludes, restricts or modifies any applicable consumer guarantee, statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

We remain responsible for our own representations and legal obligations, including any obligations relating to misleading or deceptive conduct.

13.8 Tool availability and changes

We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue the Valuation Tool, its valuation methodology, supported card categories or usage limits.

Valuations generated at different times may produce different results as market information, technology and valuation methods change.

Any applicable fees or material usage restrictions will be disclosed before a user agrees to a paid valuation service.

Do not interfere with website security, use stolen payment details, impersonate another person or submit unlawful material. Website content that we own is protected by intellectual property law. You may use it to browse, make purchases and access available website tools; other use requires permission unless the law permits it. Third-party links are provided for convenience. They do not reduce our responsibility for our products, services or our own representations.

We remain responsible for our obligations under applicable law. We do not exclude liability for fraud, our failure to exercise legally required care, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. You may also contact your state or territory consumer protection agency or seek a remedy through an appropriate court or tribunal. You are not required to use a private arbitration process.

These terms are governed by the laws of [INSERT AUSTRALIAN STATE OR TERRITORY] and applicable Commonwealth laws. Courts and tribunals with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes; this clause does not remove mandatory protections available where you live. Updates apply prospectively from their published effective date. The terms accepted for an order continue to govern that order unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise.
